I need your guidance on following for one of the project requirement. we need to calculate battery sizing for instruments (Flow computer/RTU/PLC, field transmitters & barriers)- details of requirement/instrument is as under
1. Flow computer/RTU/PLC is a hazardous area device & to be mounted in CLASS I DIV I area
2. Field transmitters are also to be mounted in CLASS I DIV I AREA
3. For isolating purpose, we are using active type Analog input barriers between Flow computer/RTU/PLC & field transmitters
Working philosophy: field transmitters to be powered on using Flow computer/RTU/PLC AI signals through active type barriers. now to calculate battery sizing, please clarify on following:
1. Do we need to calculate power consumption of all instruments (Flow computer/RTU/PLC, field transmitters & barriers)?
