Edit <I> Screens on PC without idos

I would like to be able to view and edit screens used on the old <I>'s running idos on my laptop, which can not run idos.

I know the actual screens are just ASCII files and can be edited with any text editor, but then it's hard to see the change without running the screen.

Is there any other program that can display these screens (obviously without data) other than ANIM.EXE?
