In our aging Infi90 DCS (1995 vintage) we've recently had a problem with some of the IMASO01 analog output modules, where, after a blackout, they will start delivering > 20mA into their connected loads even though the logic in the MFP isn't calling for full output at all.
We can remedy this by finding the offending IMASO01 and pulling it from the rack for a few seconds, and replacing it, whereupon it goes back to normal operation. I should mention that we have a few ASO11 modules [which have replaced faulty IMASO01 modules] in the system as well, and they're not affected by this problem.
The DCS in question does run from a UPS, but very occasionally we have blackouts in this area long enough for the UPS to have time to discharge.
Has anyone else observed this behaviour with IMASO01 modules?
