Automation Deliverables

Hello there guys,

I just started studying A&C at the university, and recently I was asked to list the main automation deliverables. That was a really tough question for me and made me really think.

Can you please list that main deliverables to me?

Thank you in advance!

A deliverable is a word used to describe a final result of a task.

For instance, it would include
project name, and who owns the task or deliverable
In scope and out of scope issues
Success criteria
Completion parameters - ie when can it be signed off on
Timelines

The deliverable could be a hardware task (installation of operator stack lamp with definitions) or a software component (provide HMI screen with real time pallet positioning). And thus the steps required for completion

Main automation deliverables may include a functional description of the automation project - what is it going to accomplish for instance. Project timeline and task list would be another.

Hope it helps

Functional Description

Project schedule (e.g. Gantt chart)

Drawings (e.g. approval layout, P&ID, electrical schematics, etc.)
Progress reports (e.g. photos, partial software, HMI screenshots, etc.)

Acceptance criteria / Inspection and test plan

Copy of software

Bills of material

Manuals

Installation plan

Certifications

Document list (Yes, a document listing all of the documents, which of course includes itself as the first document in the list.)

I'm sure I'm leaving some things out.
