HP HMI for Material Handling
Looking for advice on using High Performance HMI graphics in Material Handling Applications.

I have seen the HP HMI Handbook and like the concepts, but it seems to be mainly geared around process control and not necessarily material handling. Would best practice be to still show conveyor layouts on the page utilizing the HP HMI techniques on the motors and valves? How about photo eyes for product detection? Would they change color as product is detected?

Thanks for any advice.

I suggest you look at the TPD-703 from ICPDAS-USA. You can add graphics that you design with programs similar to Paint.

For animated requirement you can use the IWS series, that uses a SCADA software.

There are many videos online that cover this topic. I suggest that you look at Design Tips for Better HMI's by Inductive Automation on YouTube. The information presented can be used by any HMI/SCADA software.
