Bytes Missing Error Followed by Timeout
Bytes missing error followed by timeout after Modbus poll

I have connected a serial to USB converter to the PC and am trying to Poll via Modbus poll a slave in RS-232 interface. But after getting the data in my first poll, the modbus poll software is throwing error "Bytes missing error" and again after sometime it is saying that "Timeout error". After that, the device cannot be communicated until it is hard reset. I am in hellish headache and cannot find the reason to this. Solution is too far. Please help me.

I have used USB--SERIAL CH340 and am trying to poll a RS-232 Slave.

Please help me.

This error means the received data size smaller than requested. What a slave device are you using? Has MbPoll received data without error sometime or never got it?
