Carel HMI and c.pCO PLC ModBus Communication
Problems setting up communication in the software

Hello.

I have a 7" Carel Touch PGD (PGDT07000F120) HMI that I need to talk to a Carel [P+5]c.pCO Small PLC.

I'm using C.Suite to write the code and set up communication for the PLC and I'm using Carel 1tool Touch Editor to make the user interface for the HMI.

The problem is that I can't get the HMI to interact with the variables on the PLC over ModBus (via RS-485).

Could someone provide a simple example of how such a thing would be set up in C.design and 1tool Touch Editor so that I can figure out what I'm doing wrong?

As in how do I, for example, correctly enter a BOOL variable in the C.design Protocol Editor and then how do I make it toggle with a button in 1tool Touch Editor?
