Hydraulic Filter Transfer Valve
Hydraulic filters transfer valve got stuck up. Machine is Frame 6 (G.E).

Hydraulic filters transfer valve got stuck up. Machine is Frame 6 (G.E). Venting from standby filter was done. Oil is clearly coming out from there. Still, we are not able to operate the transfer valve.
What can be the probable reasons? Is there any risk of hunting due to fluctuation in hydraulic oil pressure, if we try to operate the lever in running machine?

There should be no problem changing over hydraulic filters on a running machine. But, if you think that you have a transfer valve problem, you need to be careful.

1) Can you take a shutdown and try to repair the transfer valve?

2) What is the differential pressure on the running filter?

3) What is the hydraulic pressure?

4) Do you have an Aux. hydraulic pump?
