SCADA without MTU, Is It Possible?
Connection between directly RTUs and ICSS, is it a SCADA system?

Hi everyone,

First let me introduce myself, I'm saad junior instrument engineer working on FEED project for oil & gas plant.

I'm working on general specification for instrumentation. in the control specification we use RTUs in each wells and communicate direct to ICSS (DCS ESD FGS) with fiber optic cables without MTU.

can we call-it a SCADA system, since there will be no MTU to collect all information and send-it to ICSS? please advise

thank you in advance
