Profibus Cable
Function of armor on profibus cable

Could someone tell me whether armoring helps reduce the interference of profibus signals in a hydrocarbons plant environment by any degree? My understanding is it is the cable shield which takes care of the noise not the armor. Armor is for mechanical protection of the cable. some knowledge sharing on this topic from the forum will be highly appreciated.

I can be contacted directly at the following email address:

Thanks and Regards
