Congratulations, Mario and Jiri I have on my desk a copy of the May/June issue of Embedded Linux Journal with an article about the project. We should also thank Ken and Lenore and the others @ Control.Com for the editing and production assistance. And, of course ELJ for column space. I must say that this is one of the few trade magazines I am likely to subscribe to and actually read from cover to cover. The others I get are so full of Windows noise that I lose interest quickly. Once again, Thanks and congratulations to all! Regards cww _______________________________________________ LinuxPLC mailing list [email protected] http://linuxplc.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxplc

I received ELJ last week and was impressed by the article. I have an even better understanding of the system having read it. I think that somebody should put it up in PDF format on the main site. It is very useful. I know what you mean, Curt, about things being full of windows noise ... I just got off the phone with a tech support guy for a PCI IO card and it took about 20 minutes to describe to him that the windows driver wouldn't work, since we are using a real time OS. Anyhow, I would like to thank Mario and company as well for putting it together. ~Ken _______________________________________________ LinuxPLC mailing list [email protected] http://linuxplc.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxplc

The text of the article is available at http://www.linuxplc.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/~checkout~/doc/lplc-article.txt or in the CVS as doc/lplc-article.txt (Note that there are two side-bars, which are at the bottom of the file, and two images, named lplc-article-fig1.jpg and lplc-article-fig2.jpg) There's a vague plan to keep it up-to-date as the project continues. It may lead to fire. -- OKIPAGE 8z user's manual _______________________________________________ LinuxPLC mailing list [email protected] http://linuxplc.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxplc
