RS485 and DH485

Hello A-List:
I want to use a rs485 signal from a fairbanks scale to send the final weight to our IS network. There is a slc503 in this same machine with the
scale that is on a dh485 network and that is linked to the dh+ and then to the IS network. My question is, are the dh485 and rs485 protocols the
same? I have an option of using rs422 or rs232 from the scale if one of those signals will work for this application. Any ideas how I can design this communication by making the most of what I
have now?
Cheers

Mark,

No, the DH485 and RS485 protocols are not the same. I recommend using the second RS232 connector on the front of the SLC to connect to the scale. piece of cake.
