About

Harry Trietley is an Electrical Engineer with considerable design, management, and technical writing experience. He currently is a consultant, offering writing and design services. He previously founded and ran JH Technology, focused on signal conditioning/process transmitters and custom control-related designs. Earlier experience includes engineering design and management positions at Wilkerson Instruments, YSI (Yellow Springs Instruments), and the former Taylor Instruments, largely related to sensors and signal conditioning. While at those positions Harry wrote a number of magazine articles and one book, “Transducers in Mechanical and Electronic Design.” He now writes for Control.com and AllAboutCircuits.com. His aim in writing is to make it understandable to people without advanced degrees. Harry’s interest in electronics began in late grade school—he’s still practicing his hobby! His formal education includes a BSEE degree from the University of Rochester and a Master’s from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has three patents. He and his wife now live in Sarasota, Florida. Their daughters, granddaughters, and one great grandson live in Maryland and in Venice, Florida.
