Ethernet TCP to Modbus Plus
Make sure that you clarify what you want to do. There are some gateways (bridges) on the market that allow you to read/write data but not to program. The Schneider CEV200 works well but may be overkill if all you are doing is moving data.

ModBus - ModBus Plus - LONWorks
I think that this issue arises because Cummins uses compressor controls with LonWorks protocols. You will have to determine which registers in the Cummings are important and then get a gateway to move Modbus messages to/from these registers on the Lonworks side. Schneider did (still does?)...

Routing path for BM85
Addressing is very simple. Do you not have a manual? From Quantum, address mm.pp.dd.0.0 where mm = address of BMux and pp = port number and dd = device address. From modem, just use the node address of the Quantum. Addresses from 1 - 64 are automatically routed through the BMux to the MBPlus...

Realtime Clock in Modicon TSX Micro
Yes, if the Micro PLC has a Real Time Clock (not all do). Use System Bits 49/50 to control, and System Words 50-57 to set new values.

MODBUS_FLOAT IEEE 32 BITS_VIJEO DESIGNER
There is an option for each device communications driver to change the double word order. If the FP values look "weird", change the option. Also, watch for devices that start addressing at 1 vs those that start at 0. You could be offset by one address reference. Since there is no "standard"...

Modbus from Quantum CPU
I too was confused by the original question. The issue is not with Modbus function codes but with the ability of a Quantum processor to read 3xxxx references from a slave device via the ethernet to modbus serial converter (ETG100). It is NOT possible in the Quantum controller to program a...

Modbus from Quantum CPU
You are correct. Unfortunately, the company that originated Modbus protocol did not elect to provide for any commands other than read/write 4xxxxx registers. Why? The only reason that I can think of is efficiency. The most data can be moved in words. This is the same issue with the MSTR...

USB Modbus Plus adapter
This module works fine. Only issue is to use the same USB port all the time. The driver only recognizes a max of 2 devices so if you keep moving it to a new port, each time it installs another device, and soon the driver stops working. Beware of 3rd party devices. They connect and pass data...

Modicon Quantum programming Unity
If you connected the NOE or the Processor Enet port to a switch (Yes you can program via the processor and/or an NOE module) then one cable to the switch will do. Then the switch can connect to whatever. If you have configured the Unity project for upload, then you can upload/edit/save...

In the Vijeo Designer Software, configure the target communication parameter (e.g. PLC) for IEC addressing. You then have access to all addresses (%I0.1.0 is an Input). However, writing to an addressed input makes no sense. The actual input device (like a switch) would write over any value from...

Set the serial port parameters for the M340 cpu by "double clicking" on the serial port. Set it as required... typically Slave Modbus RTU 9600 8E1. Note that the pinout for the RJ45 serial port for the M340 is NOT the same as the Quantum or Compact PLCs.
