    I have a standard Siemens 4AI card (6es7-134-4gd00) and want to add 4 x new loops. Two of the loops are in zone2 and will require a barrier in the safe area. Quick Question - Can I have the two loops with barriers connected to the same card as the other two loops that are in a safe area ?

    Thanks for the above info... The flowmeter in Zone 2 has the markings ..... Ex d (ia Ga) IIC T1-T6 Gb ...... Currently I found it connected direct to an AI card (4 wire) input with no barrier. Looking at the markings ..... Does it actually require a barrier in the safe area or does the (ia Ga)...
