Greetings Engineers
Does anyone have part numbers for programming cable to connect from a serial port on GE Versamax IC200CPU001 to programming laptop via USB?
The problem years ago was because of software drivers for the connector/adapter. USB was not supported in windows OS until Win2000.
The Win2000 driver for usb was a mess.
So, years and years ago one needed to purchase a adapter that the manufacture had built software drivers for.
By the time WinXP came around the Microsoft driver worked well.
I did however search the internet for adapters with drivers. It was kind of like finding a printer with a LPT port. JUST DON'T EXIST>
Controlmathis is right or you can order the IC200CBL500A (9 pin D-sub on one end and RJ25 on the other) with a Trip-Lite USB converter (USA-19HS). I use both. E-Bay also
