MW transmitter

Have you read the manufacturer’s instructions? What are your questions? What equipment do you have for calibration of this type of MW transmitter?

Retired so I don't have any equipment to check this on but as I recall........
========================================================
Calibration of 2 Element Watt/Var Transmitter
Assumption : relay test set available which can provide a single phase current and voltage and control the phase angle between them.
Xducer
Mfg : Yokogawa
Model: 2489
Transducer Function: 43 W/V 3P3W Delta (2 element)
Input: Unknown assume 54 (120V/5AAC) Standard Calibration 850-1150 watts/vars
Note: If required calibration watts aren’t standard, custom calibration can be ordered.

Calibration Watts:
FS Watts (Primary) / [(PTR)(CTR)
Example:
Full Scale = 50 Mwatts
PTR = 14,400:120 = 120:1 (Potential transformer ratio)
CTR = 2000:5 = 400:1 (Current transformer ratio)
50,000,000 / (120)(400) = 1041.67 watts
so watts/element would be 520.835 watts

To calibrate apply the required watts/element to both elements at same time by wiring the voltage coils in parallel and the current coils in series. You must be careful to observe the proper AC polarity on the transducer and relay test set.

Wiring
For this transducer it appears
The transducer takes power on terminal 16 / 8.
The Output signals are watts on terminal 2 and vars on terminal 3 with terminal 1 the return for both

Voltage polarity goes to terminals 5 and 6.
Voltage non polarity goes to terminals 4 and 7.
Current polarity goes in terminal 9.
Current non polarity return from terminal 13.
Jumper terminal 12 to terminal 10.

Voltage will be reference at angle 0.
assuming a-b-c phase sequence.
For watts, current will be at 0 degrees.
For positive vars, the current will be at 270 degrees.
For negative vars, the current will be at 90 degrees.
So for 520.835 watts (our example watts/ elements) at 120 volts apply a current of 4.34 amps
