RE: APPS: A good HMI for utility/pipeline?

National Instruments has a program named Lookout. A majority of their customers are "gas/oil pipeline" http://www.ni.com

FactoryLink by USData also has a large "gas/oil pipeline" customer base. http://www.usdata.com

(maybe because both of these companies are located in Texas?)

Both will do HMI and SCADA

I've used both, and prefer Lookout.

Lookout is very easy to use, but don't tell anyone... because if the word gets out, they'll start doing it themselves, and won't need me any more!! ;-)

Boy, this could start a thread... "There really are some benefits to 'Unfriendly Software'"

Hi List,
For the control and monitoring of a gas network in Switzerland, National Instrument LookOut HMI was used and work fine.
