I need ur help. when I set the AB 1784KT driver in RSlinx, there is a window written: unable to open the device because the process map object can not be created. Then it shows error. What should I do ?

 

I'd be willing to bet the ab knowledge base might have some kind of clue
about this.

Thanks, Bob, for framing a proper 'protocol response' to the typical post that reflects a lack of basic effort in researching a problem. I suspect many of my future responses will be framed in a similar fashion, if not identically.

What's interesting in this specific case is the effort A-B, in particular, goes through in order to make technical information available through their web site.

At the A-B automation fair (or whatever A-B calls their annual closed trade show) in Chicago's McCormick Place a couple years ago, A-B had a booth in the lobby area identified with a sign "Free Survey", and a smaller sign that said "Taxonomy".

Attendees were encouraged to fill out survey forms asking about preferences in search techniques and which also asked about terminology users use for various devices or actions.

I asked the booth director what the purpose was and it was simply to understand how their customers and users used the web site so that the web site could be made more useful to those people.

Given that amount of effort to make a useable web site, it's unfortunate that users don't make an effort to research a problem before posting for a public solution. But your response offers a method to direct them to do so. Thanks.
