Does anyone know how I might communicate (transfer part programs) with an old AB 8200 CNC controller? Currently, we are using the data cartidge reader/writer to store programs. Can this device be emulated?

It is the 8200R (robot control) version and does not have the optional RS-232 on board.

AB makes a "Data Highway" card which will go in the controller, and if your DNC system has a Data Highway driver, it shouldn't be too bad. Otherwise, get a Greco box or equivalent.
