The A-B stuff is easy. http://www.ab.com

The Yaskawa stuff is a little more interesting. The U84 was a repackage of the Modicon 584/984 series of PLCs. I have looked on the yaskawa site
http://www.yaskawa.co.jp but cannot find anything on there older stuff.

For general info on programming and instructions I would recommend going to modicon's site at http://www.modicon.com and finding the manual for the 984 instruction set.

If you want hardware information on chassis, modules, processors, etc... I have a manual that was used for class room material for a Yaskawa class that I taught years ago.

Let me know if I can be of more assistance.

Go to www.ab.com and click on manuals in the left listing, then click on PLC5.
Allen Bradley have all their manuals ( back to PLC3 ) on the web. You can order hardcopies from the Automation Bookstore on line

This link will take you right there:

http://www.ab.com/manuals
Every current manual published by Allen-Bradley as part of the Data-Disc subscription service is available there in PDF format. The front page
is the English libraries; lower in that page is the link to the translation libraries in nine other languages.

Not much help on pdf file but taylor industrial software had a memocon u84 software package. It will not work on modified U84's. I believe
the cutoff is the plc with 16k of memory. Its been awhile since i used this software. Taylor was bought out by Total Control Products who
has since been bought out by GE. Try total-control.com.
Good luck
Harold
