AB PLC5 serial interface link

We recently chose Westermo EDW100 as our serial/IP interface between SCADA Allen Bradley PLC5 and the telecommunication network, both at the master PLC and the RTU. The link has been epileptic most of the time. I am not sure if the problem is with the config. settings of the EDW100 or the Data Highway module of the AB PLC5 (1875KE). I will appreciate advice on how to resolve this issue.
