ABB AC410 PM150 Error message

Hello,

Tried to load, using LOAP, the Application file into the controller but failed. The controller had been cleared of the previous data base and programme.
The message I received, on the ONLINE-BUILDER was:
DATA BASE ALLOCATION FAILED. POSSIBLY DUE TO ADDED MASTERBUS TASK

also I have never come across the return prompt: Db allocation offset -7818
Any ideas?

Thank you

Guessing you already got an answer but for future reference ...

At some point in the controllers lifetime a new board was inserted into the rack. That board has to be removed before you can load the controller with LOAP again. Then you can re-insert the board and DICONFIG the controller to put it back in run mode.

Since you probably dont know which board was added, the usual procedure is to remove everything except CPU, memory and backplane controller boards.

The error message "DATA BASE ALLOCATION FAILED. POSSIBLY DUE TO ADDED MASTERBUS TASK" suggests that there may be an issue with the Masterbus configuration in your application. The Masterbus is a Siemens communication protocol used to connect Siemens devices in a network.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check the Masterbus configuration: Verify that the Masterbus configuration is correct and matches the physical connections. Ensure that the correct parameters, such as baud rate and address, are set in the Masterbus configuration.
  2. Check the LOAP settings: Verify that the LOAP settings, such as the baud rate and address, match the Masterbus configuration. Ensure that the LOAP settings are correct and that the LOAP cable is connected properly.
  3. Check for conflicts: Verify that there are no conflicts with other tasks or devices on the Masterbus. Check the configuration of other devices on the Masterbus to ensure that they are not using conflicting addresses or settings.
  4. Check the database allocation: The return prompt "Db allocation offset -7818" suggests that there may be an issue with the allocation of memory for the database. Check the memory allocation settings to ensure that there is enough memory available for the database.
If the issue persists, it may be necessary to seek the assistance of a qualified Siemens technician or representative. They may be able to provide more specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on the details of your application and hardware setup.
