We have an ABB Advant system where we using AC450 controllers and we use GCOM for connection to our plant historian Pi. As GCOM is quite slow and old technology we want to connect Pi directly to MB300 network using OPC.

We have heard about Novotek OPC and considered the option but we not sure how to connect to MB300?

Is there someone has already done this or have more information about this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Will,

I have worked with Novotek MB300 OPC server and I must tell you it works really well. I recommend it 100%. I have developed several applications to build HMIs and send the information to historians like PI. It works wonderful as you do not need extra hardware to connect to the MB300 networkand setting it up is not complicated at all.
