Abnormal Turbine Acceleration

One of our unit refuses to accelerate after it was restarted from a trip almost after 10 minutes its speed got 2 zero and ratchet confirmed twice, though unit has been running for more than 48hrs before the trip. The unit flame in and went straight to temperature control, then fuel control loop moving from acceleration control to temperature control intermittently, while turbine speed was just dragging at about 2254 rpm.

How do we bring the exhaust temp. down to allow normal sequence in the fuel control loop? Pls reply

What kind of turbine?

What is the rated speed of the turbine?

What kind of starting means does the turbine use?

How many times has the unit refused to start after a trip from load?

What kind of control system is used on the turbine?

The only protective that can drive FSR/VCE to zero, yes 0, is temperature control. Just FYI. I doubt that has been changed by GE.

If FSR/VCE goes to zero, the flame, she go out. Not stall; flameout.

If the turbine control system is putting so much fuel to try to accelerate the turbine that it's hitting temperature control and the unit doesn't reach self-sustaining speed then it's likely a problem with the starting means.

But, we don't know anything about "the turbine" other than the original poster checked "GE Fanuc" and "GE Mark V/VI" as the vendor when he posted the opening thread--and hasn't provided any additional information since then. So, there's too much we don't know to be of much help.

And, depending on the vintage of Speedtronic (supposing there is a Speedtronic--which we don't know, either, for sure) there is Minimum FSR which will prevent cutting the fuel back to zero and flaming-out the machine.

Temp control will drive FSR/VCE to zero if it is GE!!!

2254 rpm is just over L14HA.
