Anyone knows where can i find applications of Adaptive control?, has anyone ever used a PLC or DCS with Adaptive Control?

In my working area we do not use any PID controllers anymore. We implement adaptive controllers (model based predictive controllers) on all control loops (without any exception).

Currently there are appr. 2000 controllers running. Go to "www.ipas-systeme.de":http://www.ipas-systeme.de to find a description of the controller mentioned above.

try "www.ipcos.be":http://www.ipcos.be , they specialise in MPC. Examples can be found in any refinery or large bulk petro chemical plant (steamcrackers etc) and also in some glass and cement factories.
