Adding a Signal to GTG MKVI MODBUS

I want to add a alarm to existing MODBUS.
Currently the DCS gets a CTA for this alarm. operator has to relay the alarm message from the HMI.
Want the alarm to also come up on DCS.

I need to add signal to Modbus.dat & EGD?
Get/Put/rebuild/stop/start TCI NET etc?
Reboot processors RST?

Unsure of the correct steps.

Much appreciated.
