Topdoc2 is loaded in Laptop having 9 pin male com port. How to establish connection between laptop and plc 2/16 (having 15 pin port)? Pl give cable details, pin connections, etc. Thanks.

I don't know what the cable pin outs are however, I do know that the TOPDOC PLC-2 Attached Mode Cable you need Part Number is "TD2-CAM". Check their web site at http://www.softplc.com.

You need an adapter doohickey. The port on the PLC2 is not rs232. I think it might be 20mA current loop.
