Hi all
Here's another interesting article, especially for the automation vendor types. (you know who you are). Microsoft did a survey on OSS topics in relation to their "Shared Source" initiative. They found out a lot more than they wanted to know. The most interesting stuff is somewhat off the topic, dealing with how the survey participants, MS customers all, view their
adoption of Linux and OSS. I've linked the version
with esr's (Eric S. Raymond, author of The Cathedral and the Bazaar) commentary for perspective.

The other leaked MS "Halloween" memoes are there also. They provide some insight on how predatory monopolies work.
