Could somebody explain me the difference between Batch Control, Discrete Control and Continuous Control?

Actually, it is a Batch, Discrete or Continuous PROCESS. I don't know the official definitions, but here are examples:

Discrete process - your produce discrete parts (e.g., screws), where there are stations - at every successive station the part undergoes a simple operations (start with a blank, then head stamping, then thread cutting, etc.)

Continuous process - normally with fluids - best example is a refiners where there is a constant flow of crude entering the process and a constant flow of distillates (gasoline, petrol, diesel fuel, tar, etc) coming out. Process runs uninterrupted around the clock.

Batch process - normally with fluids - best example is cooking soup.
