Anti-static Device in Ball Valve

Greetings,

Anti-static device, as mentioned in Valves Handbook, is used to reduce the static charge generated on the ball due to friction. It is used to protect the valve against spark that may ignite the fuel flowing through the valve.

My question is: How to test that the anti-static device is functioning properly after valve overhaul?

I think the anti static device just grounds the ball. Check between ball and body with an Ohmmeter.

Of course if it's a lined valve the ball / plug metal is not exposed
Measure between the valve body and the valve stem, that's the part that should be grounded. The resistance should be close to zero Ohms as the grounding device is likely to be stainless steel.
(I'm looking at an AKH-2 we use)
