AS-I flat cable in harsh(ish) environments

Hello everyone,

I am envolved in Dairy automation and would like to use AS-Interface for valve control. The big plus point of AS-I (so I'm told) is reduced installation time due to the use of flat cable and "vampire" clips. In a Dairy environment, equipment requires a minimum IP65 protection and
should be tolerant of the humid atmosphere (there's plenty of steam in the process areas). There also needs to be a mechanical tolerance in the connections to flat cable as there is a degree of vibration with some installations.

I would greatly appreciate advise from those who have used AS-I in a similar environment. Is flat cable suitable, or should conventional cable be used?
