We are going to build an ASI BUS application with 13 analog inputs and 6 analog outputs. we are going to use a Bihl+Wiedmann gateway and P&F slaves (each slave has 2 channels). what will be the cycle time of that application?

If I remember correctly, the cycle time is 5mS for 31 devices. I think this cycle time stays the same even if the number of devices is less.

 

As-i cycle time is 150 micro-seconds per slave + 1 management scan of 150 micro-seconds. This is a simple calculation with "no bottom".

1 device = 150micro+ management = 300 microseconds
31 devices = (31*150) = 4.65ms +.15mS = 4.8 ms max (without retries)

Spec 2.1 with 62 slaves is a 10ms max scan.
