Do I necessarily need a Devicenet network in order to set up the ASI Bus network? Where do I plug in the yellow cable?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You need a AS-i master in the SLC rack. Look at the SST-ASI-SLC from SST, at http://www.mysst.com

You could use an AS-i gateway to Devicenet, or an AS-i backplane master for whichever PLC you are using.
