I need the automatic ph dosing system. i want to maintain the ph of 10 of neutral solution (ph 7)by adding caustic solution. please recommend a ph electrode which will suit for this application.

 

You need more than an electrode. You need to look at the design of a system that includes the pH electrode, its placement in the line or tank; the controller/transmitter, any needed mixing devices, and the injection pump for the caustic. If you are new to pH control, you might check out books by Greg McMillan and David Mills at http://www.isa.org.

pH is also temperature dependant so you may want to include that if the temperature of the process fluid fluctuates. I am with Prominent Fluid controls and we do these types of applications often.

 

Go for the megatron from advantage control. Might be overkill for your application but they have a variaty in controllers. You also need a PH probe and some outputs for metering pumps according to your app. Megatron comunicates over ethernet.

And also suggest to me for the caustic is 40% concentration, which type of dosing pump is best for this application, peristaltic or diaphragm type dosing pump?
