barcode to control motor input

I have a project and the scope is up to simulation. No hardware needed.

As I'm beginner, I need insight on how to relate the components of the system. The major problem is how to make the output barcode reader to control certain motors of the collector bin. one code in charge of one motor. I've do some reading around the net, i see the solution might be modbus or multiplexer, i seriously do not know how to connect. I plan to use grafcet. Please help to guide me
