In a confined space without room to fit a hood, what works better to measure air flow at a supply or return grille, a hot wire anemometer or a rotating vane anemometer.
Do you need to take multiple measurements and average them for both the hot wire anemometer and for the rotating vane anemometer when you are measuring at a supply/return grille? This would be used for some low flow measurements sometimes of maybe 40 cfm or less. I would like to get the most accurate measurement with the least trouble.
