I am having a nightmare of a time working with lonmaker 3.1. The thing is constantly throwing out inconsistant drawings codes and wanting me to resync the cp's. It's hitchy at best and the visio interface sucks. Any suggestions for new software?

 

I have been using it for years on several large systems here without those kinds of problems. Could there be another issue at work here? Keep in mind that you have to be careful and use the version of Visio that comes with LonMaker and don't upgrade Visio separately. I can't think of any other potential problems. I would suggest that you contact Echelon concerning the problems.

Try Distech Control's Lonwatcher 3.0. It's a lot easier to use and lon bindings are easy to accomplish. It's also a lot easier to launch LNS plugins. You may purchase it through a local Distech rep or engenuity systems.

 

It is hard to say which one is best, but there are several lonworks management tools.

I may be very late on this but I would look at NL220 from Newron Systems. Very nicely done.
