Have anyone come across a sensor to sense Blast furnace gas flame?

ASI (http://www.synapse.co.za/ASI) used a 24V NC sensor to sense a burning fuse (Explosived Industry).

 

You may want to try Durag at http://durag.com. I also seem to remember Honeywell having flame detecetion systems a number of years ago.

There is no sensor available as on date for a pure Blast furnace gas. But if U fire a BFG gas along with oil U can use a normal scanner.Please contact the fire-eye supplier for more details.

Some use a flame switch which senses the pressure change in the furnace. Some of the newer flame safeguard (BMS) systems such as AutoFlame even have input terminals which utilize flame switches.

 

Try ametek... they are working with ISG in baltimore with one now.
