I have an application that requires dual NCOs with the ability to apply a number of modulation options. Can someone point me in the direction of some C code (or ASM for the Mitsubishi M16C) that will generate an NCO that I can then apply (through software) frequency modulation and pulse-width modulation (I only need a squarewave output)?

 

You should look at Circuit Cellar (www.circuitcellar.com) for the articles by Tom Napier - they are excellent.
I also have some simple code that works quite well on the PIC - reply to me and I'll send it to you - it can be done with a few lines of C!
