Calling external functions via Yokogawa's SEBOL

I have been enjoying the power and flexibility of Yokogawa’s SEBOL language but it doesn’t seem to handle time and date calculations very well. I would like to write a DLL in C++ to handle these calculations but there is no example in the
documentation of calling external functions. Is this possible in SEBOL?
