Can anyone help me in controlling the servo motors using 68HC11?

i found that there is a problem when use 68HC11 to control the servo motor!

My problem is like this:
I use assembly languge to control the sweeping of servo motors. The codes is to control the servo motors sweep from counter clockwise and then change to sweep clockwise (using DEC and INC). This process is run repeatly. However, if I want the servo motors suddenly stop (means that i want the motors to stay in certain position after a few seconds of sweeping), the program and the servo motor will stop as well.

Could someone please tell me what is the problem and is there any website got providing the control of servo motor sweeping?
