I'm looking for a CAN bus interface module with PC-104 form factor and with (of course) a Linux driver. For my next maintenance project I need such a beast to access an industrial remote i/o. The Linux CAN bus driver only needs to handle all ISO level 2 issues, but no level 7 issues (no CANopen or whatsoever). The driver should only be able to enqueue and send CAN telegrammes to
other CAN nodes on the bus and receive telegrammes from other nodes as specified by CAN bus address(es). Well, the driver should also be able to send out specific CAN telegrammes at
specific intervals -- at least with a little help.
The CAN drivers from Linux Lab Project appear to be somehow old and not maintained from the perspective of the Linux Lab's mail archive. Any pointers or help?
