I wondering if their is some sort of chloride filter that I can get (cheap) that would filter chloride out of water from road salt (sodium chloride)? Any ideas? Any Web sites?

Charcoal filters will remove chlorine but not chlorides.

The only "filter" I can think of that would remove chlorides would be a reverse osmosis membrane and thats not really a filter. Ion exchange would work as well.

You might want to call your local culligan man (or other water treatment company).

There are a lot of packaged solutions for this type of problem for car washes that can be purchased off the shelf (or close to it).

If you could filter the salt out of salt water economically, you would be a very rich man!
