Can anyone please suggest what is the best material for control valve body & trim for dry chlorine gas service? Control valve size is 6inches. We wish the valve gives a long service without erosion.

 

Regardless of what they tell you, there is no such thing as "dry chlorine service." Chlorine is hygroscopic, and you should always assume
that industrial grade (as opposed to reagent grade) chlorine is not dry. That being said, sterling silver, hastelloy c and tantalloy (the latter preferentially) are my recommendations for chlorine service. Be guided by the valve manufacturer, since it is his warranty.
