I use CoDeSys for PLC Programming. It provides OPC support for communicating with outside world. Now I wanna use CITECT to monitor the status of my Running PLCs. I thought I had to setup CoDeSys as the server and CITECT as the client. It seems the CoDeSys Server is up and running. But I don't know how to browse the available OPC servers in CITECT. Does anybody have expriences of working with CITECT and other OPC servers? thanks.

It is very difficult to use such open standards as OPC with Citect. I recommend you take a look at ICONICS to take advantage of OPC.

the CITECT software comes with an OPC client that can be used to view many OPC Servers. Create a project and use the help files to guide you with the IO definitons. You need to know the name of your opc server before you start.
