Citect drivers for Xcell data concentrator

Hi All

I have read somewhere about Citect drivers for Xcell data concentrators that someone was using. Of course I had no idea what this was until I got
involved with a project which will ultimately use a few hundred motorvision relays all connected to Xcell data concentrators. If anyone has experience
of interfacing to this equipment, please contact me, I need to know if the effort was worthwhile from the point of view of data update times and if the driver was for the Ethernet or Modbus interface and of course if the drivers are available to beg steal borrow or buy.

Thanks

Hi,
If you're talking about the Xcell Data Concentrator from P&B Engineering (UK), then the answer is 'YES'. There are 3 ways to do it.
The choices that you have are:
- IEC870-5-101. This is the "standard" Xcell protocol. Contact www.systemcorp.iinet.net.au (These guys wrote the driver).
- Harris HR6000. Available on
CiT's web site.
- Modbus. Citect has the Modbus Master driver as standard.

hope that helps,
Kevin
