What??
Visual motion V5.0 and a programming cable was quoted at over $10K.

I just want to edit a parameter in one of the R.A.C.2.2 drives and open the window for max dev.

Aparently with the SERCOS comm option in the drive, the parameters are only accessible through the CLC.

the programming cable costs more than $6k and the software is $5k. What are they trying to do with this pricing? Drive all their customers to their competition?

I know the hardware and software is obsolete, but give me a break. Will the CoDeSys software help with this problem?

Welcome to the major downside of proprietary automation systems...

Your best bet is probably to find an Indramat systems integrator who can make a service call to perform the changes that you need.

"the programming cable costs more than $6k..."

A six thousand dollar programming cable? That's hard to believe. The only advice I can offer is to try and find a local or even semi-local systems integrator who already has the software and cable.

Good luck.
