Hello nerds,

I need to communicate from a 135U 928B CPU with a Contrologix CPU. Communication does not have to be fast, so tought of using the available slot in wich i can stick a serial adaptor. And then use the serial port on the controllogix CPU.

But how do I make this work and is this possible.

The best way is to use a Profibus card in the Control Logix (Prosoft makes a good one) and put a Profibus DP Slave card in the S5 PLC. Then you got a simple data transfer from one to the other. Be careful if you are using floating point numbers as the Control Logix treats them differently than the S5 and you might have to swap the bytes.
