I have a communication problem between modicon PLC and ABB infi-90 bailey DCS.

Modicon PLC is connected with ABB DCS for display alarms, etc. with modbus protocol RS232. but due to unknown errors or fault, PLC data is unavailable at DCS and at DCS HMI, PLC data is frozen.

Try check if the problem is with the PLC or DCS.
Connect the Modicon PLC to Modbus master (for example Modbus Tester from www.modbus.pl) and try if the communication is working properly.

The cleanest solution is to use the CI867 module in either a simplex or redundant configuration depending on your fault tolerance requirements.

Which kind of configuration software used in your ABB infi90 ?

You need a software package like as " Serial Link". It was worked for me 3 years ago
